For a computer, the single most important thing you can do is keep dust (dirt, hair, skin cells, bacteria, bugs, pollen, etc.) from accumulating inside of your computer. If you allow this to happen, it can severely decrease the lifespan of your computer.
The number one killer of computer hardware is heat.
When dust and debris accumulate inside of your PC, the flow of air is disrupted dramatically, increasing the amount of heat inside of your computer.
The number two killer of computer hardware is static discharge. Static buildup, inside of your computer, also increases with additional dust and debris.
Cleaning the insides of computers and Keyboards.
- Our Cleaning Technicians actually blow the dust particles out of the case, from the slots and other cracks and tiny areas in the motherboard and other parts of the inside of the CPU case. They always keep clear of actually touching any surface inside the CPU case.
- We use portable air compressors rather than the cans of air for a few reasons:
There is no powder residue as with canned air – this can cause failure of parts.
There is a steady, regulated flow of air - unlike some cans of air that lose their pressure even if they are not empty.
You can control the amount of pressure. - Safety Precautions:
Cleaning Technicians will wear a mask over their mouths and noses, so they are not breathing in the bacteria and dust created in the process.
Cleaning Technicians will wear their own or Safety glasses to protect their eyes from blowing debris. - Our cleaning solution is a very light amount of Dawn Antibacterial Dish Soap and water, for bare electronic cleaning of sensitive components a 70% isopropyl mixture is used.
